Intro to Practical Shooting Class at QC (you must RSVP)

Dallas Action Pistol Shooters will offer a special class on competitive shooting techniques (INTRODUCTION TO PRACTICAL SHOOTING) on Sunday, January 31st at Quail Creek Public Range. Start time is 10:00 a.m. – get there early to sign a waiver & pay your range fee, as well as the class fee. Please note that 100% of the class proceeds will go to support the club. To sign up, please RSVP for the event via the website calendar in advance and email bod@dallasidpa.com. You will receive an e-mail confirming your registration.
Cost:
- DAPS member cost is $50
- Non-members are welcome at a rate of $75 (or you can join DAPS for $20 and pay the member rate)
- Range fee is extra (not included in cost of class)
Equipment requirements (if you have questions about your gear, ask):
- safe, serviceable pistol in any caliber acceptable for IDPA matches (i.e. 9mm or larger)
- strong side kydex or leather holster, preferably paddle or belt slide
- at least two mag pouches
- at least three mags
- 400 rounds of ammunition
- eye and ear protection
Be prepared to be outdoors all day in possibly cold weather (bring a chair, water, snacks, hat, warm layers, etc.)
The class will introduce new shooters to the concepts of practical shooting: grip, stance, draws from holster, trigger control, reloads, muzzle and trigger awareness, and using cover (shooting around barricades, through ports, etc.).
Class is limited to 12 student participants - registration is on a first come basis. This class will most likely fill up fast so register early to guarantee your place. We will create a wait-list in case of cancellations.
